Well done

I like it because it has a moving feel at the beginning but its not hurried. You move into the quick section well. I especially like the inclusion of a distorted guitar. The chords really fill the sound.

The crash cymbal samples sound fake though. Thats my only problem.

You said you made this for a family play. Do you mean stage play?

Also, what software do you use? Im looking to upgrade from what I'm currently using and I would like to know what you are.

DUDE!

THATS BITCHIN'! Sick. Keep up the good work.

fishfood2021 responds:

Damn right it is.

A Little Percussive

Maybe if you made the percussion quieter it'd be better. I like where you were going but it just didn't feel correct. Felt too intense.

Rags all the way

Congratulations my friend. You are an amazing piano player.
Did you play this?

I really like the phrasing especially in the beginning and around 2:00 to 2:18

I wanted to dance and wave my finger in the air the whole time.

mariofan220 responds:

Thanks.

Very well done!

I especially like the clarinet solo. I think it's clarinet at the end.

The whole piece reminds of something out of Final Fantasy 12. I enjoyed it.

I wish you luck for the future!

SinJim responds:

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad that you enjoyed this.

I like the feeling

Although the intro for the electric guitars doesnt mesh quite as well. I do like what they sound like but maybe make it a little more subtle?

Thanks for the review. Yep, I agree but I just loved both parts tooo much. But as I said below I will definitely re-work it so it doesn't sound as messy. Thanks for the advice :D

Nice!

I like it a lot. The keyboard parts bring it to life.

I was listening to this on my mac and when the music paused in the beginning my mac said "It's 4 o' Clock" and then the music started again!

This is a great song, maybe in the wrong genre, but it's still good!

Keep it up man.

I enjoy the marching feel

The 4 on the floor with the bass drum give it a slight marching feel.
I think this would be really good with a marching snare included.
A very simple marching snare pattern would fit nicely here.

Haha you hear so many things in my music i dont even notice. Anyway thanks for the review/rating. Im looking forward to our collab project.

Nice

I think the synth part at 1:19 might sound better as a slightly heavy guitar with synth backing. Or maybe even wah-wahed or flanged?

Good job writing though. I would enjoy hearing this recorded!

P.S. The guy below me offered to do guitar, if you decide to record this, let me know, I've been drumming for 8 years and I would be happy to record drum parts for you.

5/5 and 9/10

HarvestThrone responds:

Yeah I agree. That was before I discovered the PWM Saw that FL has which is basically a heavier version of that synth without the phaser effect on it. I was planning on remaking it with bass added as well since there is no bass guitar in this song. Oh you're a drummer? Awesome!! I've actually been drumming for 7 years now, but I don't have my kit with me at the moment, and won't for quite some time. I am going to re-write the song, and hopefully get in touch with the guy below me for the guitar, so if you have your drumkit ready to record when we're done I would be more than happy to colaborate with you. Would you prefer me to send you the file after the guitar has been added? And thanks for reviewing and voting!!! I really appreciate it :D

Very proggy

I like it but i think you could add heavier bass and some more distorted guitar.
Not too heavy, but heavy enough.

That's just my two cents.

I like the song overall.

HarvestThrone responds:

Yeah it would probably be best to make it heavier towards the end where there is the synth melody with the (for lack of a better term) breakdown behind it. But yes, heavier it shall be. Would you want to join up with me and TwilightNecrosis for this one as well? Thanks for the review!

P.S. - I'm uploading 2 more songs today that are more recent, and the first one actually has a drum solo in it. :D

Been making music since 2007. Now working in video games and animation! Actually just 6 gnomes in a trench coat.
